Envistacom’s Cybersecurity Team Adds Another Doctorate
July 13, 2016
ATLANTA, July 15, 2016 – Envistacom, a leading provider of communications networks, counterterrorism and cybersecurity solutions, today announced that another of its cybersecurity experts has completed a doctorate program.
Leroy “Pete” Dowdy earned his Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity from Capitol Technology University in Laurel, Maryland, in December 2015, after successfully defending his dissertation: “Exploring Cleared Defense Contractor Workforce’s Perception of Cybersecurity Training.” Envistacom now boasts three Ph.D.-level cybersecurity experts, thanks to Dowdy’s achievement.
“The entire team at Envistacom congratulates Pete on this personal and professional milestone,” says Alyssa Rodriguez Carson, president of Envistacom. “Pete is a great asset to the company, bringing more than 30 years of full-spectrum U.S. Navy Information Operations experience, plus industry knowledge and now doctoral-level education to further validate our bench strength in this growth area. We’re excited to build on the superior body of cybersecurity evaluations and training we’ve provided to the Department of Defense by extending these solutions and services to all Envistacom customers.”
